You are about to let a technician work on your machine remotely. Here is what will happen, step by step. No installation or account is required.
From the Remote assistance page, which detects your system, or from Download. Choose the support module (not the technician client).
.exe file. No installation, it runs directly..dmg, then right-click the application and choose “Open” (it is not signed by Apple)..deb package (Debian/Ubuntu) or make the AppImage executable and run it.The window displays an ID (and a one-time password). Give them to your technician by phone, by email or by message. The ID changes on every launch: make sure you share the one displayed now.
When your technician connects, a request appears: click Accept. If you decline, the connection does not happen.
The window shrinks during the session. You can follow what is happening and take back control at any time: the session ends if you close the module.
Traffic between the technician and your machine is encrypted. The server that relays the connection cannot see the content of the session.
The infrastructure is hosted in Switzerland (Valais), subject to Swiss data protection law.
Nothing happens without your agreement: the connection must be accepted, and you can stop the session at any time by closing the module.
There is nothing to create or install permanently: the support module is simply a file you run.
The file must come from flowline.my-vth.ch. A file received by any other means (email attachment, short link, messaging app) is not an official FlowLINE file.
The ID changes on every launch. If you shared it and then closed the window, you must run the module again and pass on the new ID.
If the connection still does not work, tell them your system (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android) and what is displayed on screen.
